Small businesses can stay small if they choose so, but shouldn’t give up big dreams due to extra hurdles.”
Based in Indonesia, Dondi brings 13 years of commercial banking experience to Patamar Capital’s Southeast Asian team. During this time, Dondi worked for HSBC as Vice-President of Credit Operations, Consumer Banking, and Risk and Portfolio Management. In his role at Adira Quantum Multifinance, a multifinance subsidiary company of Bank Danamon Indonesia, Dondi headed the Risk Management team.
Dondi began impact investing when he joined Sampoerna Strategic, a privately-held investment company, to lead their microfinance projects as the General Manager of Sales and Distribution. Dondi made the transition into early-stage investing in 2011, when he co-founded Kinara Indonesia. Kinara seeks investment opportunities in real sector SMEs by focusing on early-stage companies that make positive impacts on society.
Dondi joined Patamar Capital in 2014 as the firm’s representative in Indonesia. Besides being an active practitioner of impact investing, Dondi also serves on the board of UnLtd Indonesia, an incubator for social enterprise in Indonesia.
Dondi holds a Bachelor of Computer and Mathematical Sciences degree from the University of Western Australia.
