Mercy Corps’ Social Venture Fund completed its second investment in the Indonesian company PT Vasham Kosa Sejahtera. Unitus Impact’s Livelihood Impact Fund led the Series A round.

Vasham provides Indonesian smallholder farmers with the financing, expertise, and income security they need to achieve significantly better standards of living.

Vasham founder and CEO, Irvan Kolonas, said, “Unitus Impact and Mercy Corps combine to give us a unique combination of capital, strategic support, domain expertise, and mentorship for myself and Vasham that will help propel us to new heights. Both their strong focus on delivering impact in a sustainable manner will push us to set a new bar of excellence not only for the depth of our impact but also its scale and reach. Our vision to reach 200,000 farmers by 2020, is no easy feat, but is made easier by two new partners with whom I also call my friends.”
